Laboratory For Physical Sciences
This group, led by Kevin Osborn, holds weekly research meetings at the LPS. It often includes professors and other collaborators from the neighboring University of Maryland at College Park.
Experimental solid-state quantum computing research is also conducted in the groups of Bruce Kane, Ben Palmer, and Michael Dreyer. Theoretical quantum computing research is conducted in the groups of Frank Gaitan, Ari Mizel, and Charles Tahan.
During the academic year, there is a LPS Wednesday seminar at 3:30, often covering topics on quantum information. Several special quantum computing seminars occur throughout the year, which are attended by LPS and other local researchers.
University of Maryland
Fred Wellstood, Chris Lobb, Bob Anderson, and Alex Dragt regularly hold meetings on superconducting qubits and other research on campus.
The CNAM hosts the Condensed Matter Seminar and special seminar series given by students, which includes UMD Physics graduate students who perform their research at LPS. The physics department also hosts a Colloquia.
Joint Quantum Institute
The JQI holds a weekly seminar on quantum information topics in AMO and condensed-matter systems at the University of Maryland Department of Physics.
